HOW
OUR WEATHER TESTS ARE CARRIED OUT
Tested system ASL70, ASL60, ASL66,
ASL67
Classification to DIN 18055
Performance Group C
A 3 panel system is subjected to air pressure
of 600 Pascals with water sprays in a laboratory. This is
equivalent to a 120 m.p.h. hurricane force wind with driving
rain. At the same time the system is continuously reversed
to flex the components backwards and forwards.
The system is then opened and closed 10,000
times and the test repeated.
There is NO
leakage of water up to 600 Pascals and less than 1/4 of the
permitted air leakage.
Test standards determine the maximum permissible
air leak rate. A single drop of water passing through the
system would mean that the system would fail the test.
Tested system ASL35, ASL45, ASL65
Classification to DIN 18055
Performance Group B
As above at 300 Pascals, equivalent to
a 60 m.p.h. wind with driving rain.
There is NO
leakage of water up to 300 Pascals and less than the permitted
air leakage.
Component Tests
- Rollers tested in 20,000 operation
without any visible sign of wear and tear.
- 180° turn handles pressure checked
up to 1,000 Pascals.

Weather proofing
to
rely on
Testing every step of the way - that's
the only way to
guarantee performance.
Rigorous proofing in the in-house laboratory
of all components ensures perfect design and, finally, independent
authorisation
from the Institute of Window Technology, Rosenheim.
Only
Glassplan achieves
Group 'B' and more
importantly Group 'C'
Certificates to DIN 18055,
a feat not currently
achieved by others.
Only
supplier with test report Stress Group C.
